In the past week-end President of the Wrestling Federation of Russia, Olympic Champion Mikhail Mamiashvili made a working visit to Crimea. He met the core group of the Republican Wrestling Federation and bid farewell to junior Russian team on Greco Roman wrestling, which trains for a World Championship among age-mates.
“Wrestling in Crimea has an enormous potential and is dynamically developing. Systematic work of Republican Federations and Ministry under the auspices of the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov and the Wrestling Federation of Russia have a meaningful effect. Our wrestler Anzor Zakuev has won the European Championship among age-mates, Emin Sefershaev became the second. Both have chances and possibilities to aspire for Tokio-2020 medals. Everything depend on them” – emphasized Mikhail Mamiashvili.
During the meeting President of the Wrestling Federation of Crimea Djemal Djangobegov granted the prize for “silver” in the European Championship to Emin Sefershaev, who has already joined junior Russian team in Alushta. Russian team on Greco Roman wrestling headed by Nikolay Monov trains to World Championship in the “Krymsky Center”, established in a significant for wrestling recreation center “Spartak” in Alushta.
“I was called to this center in Alushta for the first time in 1982. Since that time this place is the second home for me. Everything is pierced with a victorious atmosphere, achieved by hard and honest work”, - said Mikhail Mamiashvili to wrestlers. Director of the “Krymsky Center” Nadezhda Vasilenko has told about infrastructure renewal for Games-2020 and wished the wrestlers good luck. The modernization will be implemented upon a Federal Targeted Programme with investments over 2.2 billion rubles.
The examples of wrestling and the “Krymsky Center” FGUP inspired the sport session of the III Yalta International Economic Forum.
“New success of Crimean wrestlers and development dynamics of the “Krymsky Center” FGUP are real examples of a large-scale transformations in the region. Alushta remains an international wrestling center. This summer Armenian team headed by Artur Aleksanyan and World Champion 2014 Arsen Djulfalakyan has trained here. In 700 km from the “Krymsky Center” there is “Bars” sport center, where is located a training camp for regional teams on wrestling, sambo and aikido. This is a good example that a sport camp can be a driver for all year round resort load”, - notices the Vice Chairman of the YIEF Organizing Committee Georgy Bryusov.
