A standing Yalta International Economic Forum International Expert Council will be formed at YIEF 2018. The Expert Council will consist of economists, political scientists, members of business associations, entrepreneurs and politicians from more than 20 countries. Apart from Russia and the CIS countries, experts from Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Serbia, China, Japan, Syria and other states will join the Council.
“This work format will allow us to pool the efforts of experts from several countries in order to develop strategic solutions for topical global problems”, said Andrey Nazarov, co-chairman of the Organizing Committee of the 4th YIEF and co-chairman of the All-Russia Public Organization "Delovaya Rossiya".
The Expert Council will work on a range of issues, including improvement of Crimea’s international image, Crimea’s integration into the global economy, as well as the global transition to a digital economy and related challenges.
During YIEF 2018, at the Yalta Conference, the Council members will work on developing scenarios for Syria’s economic and political revival. The Yalta Conference, held for the first time this year, will take place at the Livadia Palace, the same venue that hosted the historic 1945 Conference. In future, the Yalta Conference will be held annually and will become one of the key events of the YIEF business programme. Every year, the Forum’s participants will assemble at the conference to discuss a pressing issue on the global political agenda.
