A representative delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia will participate in the IV Yalta International Economic Forum. The delegation will be headed by President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov.

Yalta is an opportunity for South Ossetia to talk about the republic, its potential and perspective investment trends," - said Mr. Bibilov before his visit to Crimea.
The President of the Republic of South Ossetia stressed that it is planned to sign a protocol of intentions to develop cooperation between South Ossetia and the Republic of Crimea on the sidelines of YIEF. The document will be signed taking into account the mutual interest of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Republic of Crimea in deepening and expanding bilateral trade, economic, scientific, technical, and humanitarian cooperation.
"Signing the Protocol of Intentions between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Republic of Crimea will give us new mutually beneficial opportunities for development," Anatoly Bibilov said.
Senior government officials of South Ossetia will also take part in the YIEF: Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Medoev, Finance Minister Aza Khabalova, Minister of Economic Development Gennady Kokoev, Chairman of the Transport and Industry Committee Gennady Bekoev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev.

The Yalta International Economic Forum (YIEF) is an annual business event held in Crimea (Yalta).
More than 2200 people took part in the YIEF-2017, held on 20, 21, and 22 April, including 200 foreign participants from 46 countries. The biggest delegation of the Forum was from Italy – it included more than 50 people.
The Programme of the YIEF-2017 featured 35 business events: 25 topical discussions, grand session on construction development, and the key event of the Forum – the Plenary Session, divided into 3 blocks: “World”, “Country”, and “Human”. Block “World” was devoted to analyzing economic environment in Russia through the eyes of international businesspersons. Participants of the Plenary Session considered the place of Russia in the world economy, collaboration experience with the RF as business partners and discussed opportunities for foreign investors in Russia. In block “Country”, the participants of the discussion focused on the prospects of forming innovative economy in Russia, meeting the needs of tomorrow. Block “Human” was dedicated to social issues and environment protection.
Agreements and memorandums on the total sum of 100 billion rubles were concluded within the YIEF-2017.
More than 300 journalists received accreditation for the YIEF-2017.The Forum was covered by the major media of Russia: Channel One, Russia 24, TASS, RIA Novosti, Interfax, Rossiyskaya Gazeta, AiF, Komsomolskaya Pravda, Izvestia, and other leading printed and online periodicals.
