YIEF-2017 Business Programme Published

The programme of the III Yalta International Economic Forum that will take place on April 20, 21, and 22, 2017 has been published. The programme was posted on the official YIEF website and available at the following link

The Forum programme includes 29 business events. The first day of YIEF will welcome 20 thematic sessions, traveling meeting of the Free Economic Society under the chairmanship of one of the leading Russian economists, counselor of the President of the Russian Federation, Sergey Glazyev, and start of the exhibition of investment projects offered for implementation in the Republic of Crimea.

The second day will be devoted to the YIEF key discussion – a large plenary meeting divided into three thematic blocks: "World", "Country", and "Human". The Country block will be broadcast live on Russia 24 channel.

On the third day of YIEF, Sergey Aksyonov, the Head of the Republic of Crimea, will hold meetings with the official delegations, investors, and representatives of the business community. The last day of the Forum has also several cultural events in store: retro-car rally and excursions to the historical heritage sites of the Southern Crimean shore.


FIRST DAY: THEMATIC DISCUSSIONS

Immediately after the opening ceremony of the YIEF, one of the key sectional meetings – "Russia – Italy Business Dialog" – will start. The discussion will involve members of the business community and state figures from Italy. The Italian delegation is expected to be the most numerous group of foreign attendees at the Forum.

Simultaneously, the main YIEF site – MRIYA RESORT&SPA hotel – will hold the discussion "Integration Through Sport" organized by the Russian Ministry of Sports. Conservation of natural resources and development of environmental protection technologies will be discussed at the sectional meeting "Environmental and nature management challenges. Ecological development of Russia ".

Development of space technologies will be discussed for the first time within the framework of the YIEF at the sectional meeting " Space exploration and international cooperation in space " organized by the Roscosmos State Corporation. The role of the construction industry as the driver of economic growth will be considered at the industrial section prepared by the Ministry of Construction Industry, Housing and Utilities Sector of Russia together with All Russia Public Organization “Delovaya Rossiya”. The Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation will be the organizer of the section "Cutting-edge technologies. Development of the IT industry ".

Development prospects of the economy sectors so important for Crimea – tourism and wine production – will be the subject of discussions at the sections "Transformation of the tourism industry. How to overcome the seasonal factor" and "Wine-making. How to achieve competitiveness on world markets ".

Sectional meetings will also be devoted to preservation of the cultural heritage, interregional cooperation, protection of business and entrepreneurs' rights, and global and Russian investment experience.

 

SECOND DAY: LARGE PLENARY MEETING

For the first time in the YIEF history, the major discussions will be divided into three thematic blocks: "World", "Country", and "Human". The World block will be dedicated to the economic situation of Russia from the international business point of view. The issues of the place of Russia within the global economy, experience of cooperation with the Russian Federation as a business partner, and possibilities open in Russia for external investors are planned for discussion.

Within the Country block, discussion participants will focus on the perspectives of formation of innovational economy compliant with the challenges of tomorrow in Russia. The Human block will be devoted to the social and environment protection aspects.
