Dmitry Medvedev, the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, held a meeting in Sevastopol that supported the proposal of the Ministry of Economic Development to extend the Federal Target Program for the Development of the Crimea until 2022.
According to Maxim Oreshkin, the Minister of Economic Development of Russia, serious investments have not been made into the infrastructure of the republic within the last 20-30 years. Now, with the implementation of the Federal Target Program on the peninsula, key facilities are gradually being put into operation.
Oreshkin stated that the Federal Target Program has been extended not only for the construction of already planned facilities, but also for introducing new ones into the program.
The Chairman of the Government Dmitry Medvedev emphasized that the project has already been prepared with an increase in financing of at least 37 billion rubles and the main task of the Russian authorities is to create new standards of life on the peninsula.
The Federal Target Program "Social and economic development of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol until 2020" was adopted in 2014. The initial amount of financing was set at about 680 billion rubles. In recent years, the parameters have been revised several times. Now, the total amount of funding for the Federal Target Program has been approved by the Russian government in the amount of 825.4 billion rubles.
