First 6.5 km of barrier railing were installed at the highway under construction near the village of Primorsky near Feodosia. This was reported by Grigoriy Nazarov, the press-secretary of the construction department of AO "VAD" for the Republic of Crimea.
"The first barrier railing was installed at the traffic interchange near the village of Primorsky in the urban district of Feodosia. About 3 km of railing were installed on the main course of the route, another 3.5 km were installed at the junction and the exits from it," the press service cites him.
According to GOST, the barrier railing at "Tavrida" is installed on the separating strip, with the installation of the border stone, in areas with massive barriers closer than 4 meters from the roadway or areas with a fill depth of more than 3 m and escarpments. It is noted that a one-sided barrier railing with a height of 0.75 m and post spacing of 2 and 3 m is installed on the road borders. The thickness of the beams is 4 mm. One-sided and two-sided fences are installed on the separating strip. Their height is 1.1 m, the post spacing is 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, and 4 m, and the thickness is 5 mm. Hot-dip galvanizing was used for coating to protect the sections from corrosion.
The total length of the barrier railing, which will be installed on the sections of the highway by 2020, will exceed 700 km. "Tavrida" - the future main traffic artery of Crimea - will connect the east and west parts of the peninsula. The length of the four-lane highway is 250.7 km, including 13.2 km in Sevastopol (the seventh section of the route). The highway will include 18 traffic interchanges and 123 engineering structures. The capacity will be 40 thousand vehicles per day. After completion of the construction of the highway in a four-lane version, the trip through "Tavrida" from Kerch to Simferopol will take about two hours. Passing the entire highway to Sevastopol will take less than three hours.
On the sidelines of YIEF-2017, OOO "Karelprirodresurs" (a subdivision of AO "VAD") concluded an agreement with the Russian Land Use Union on the complex supply of natural materials for the "Tavrida" highway, worth about 8 billion rubles. The contract was signed by Igor Efremov, the General Director of OOO "Karelprirodresurs" and Dmitriy Stashkiv, the President of the Russian Land Use Union.
According to the agreement, 14 quarries that belong to Crimean companies and are located in Crimea along the future federal highway "Tavrida", should supply materials for the road bed within 3.5 years. Materials will be used in the construction of the highway. The contract sum is about 8 billion rubles.
