Maria Zakharova: international interest in Crimea is growing

On Wednesday, during a briefing in Crimea (Koktebel village), the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova announced on growing number of foreign delegations, willing to visit Crimea, noting that representatives of the business community are increasingly interested in cooperation with the Republic.

"We gratefully mention the growing demand for an objective view of Crimea," the diplomat claimed. - There is a growing interest in cooperation with the Republic from foreign business and civic-political circles. A reflection of this trend has been the steadily growing number of foreign delegations."

Ms. Zakharova reminded that more than a hundred foreign delegations visited Crimea in 2017. Also, according to the diplomat, the proof of determination for cooperation is holding of a number of high-profile events of international importance on the Peninsula. We expect the successful holding of the representative conference "Crimea in the modern international context" on October 25th-27th, organized by the state Autonomous institution "Business and cultural center of the Republic of Crimea".

"The Yalta International Economic Forum, which took place for the 4th time in April this year, has become a key platform for discussing the subject matter for cooperation with Crimea and promoting its investment opportunities," Maria Zakharova said.
