Within the framework of the V YIEF for the first time an Open festival of students’ theater art "Scene – Youth – Crimea" will be held, in which the best student groups of five leading theater schools of the country will take part.
This was reported by the Minister of culture of the Republic of Crimea Arina Novoselskaya during the meeting of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the anniversary V Yalta International Economic Forum. The meeting of the Organizing Committee was held in Simferopol under the leadership of the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov.
"For the purpose of implementation of the Decree of the President of Russia "About carrying out the Year of theater in the Russian Federation" the new Theatre Festival was established in Crimea and included in the V YIEF agenda as a tool of formation of positive image of the Republic of Crimea at the regional, national and international levels", – the Minister noted.
The Head of the Administration noted that the Festival project will be held from 21 to 27 April 2019 and will involve an extensive program of events, including the opening and closing ceremonies of the Festival, discussions, meetings, performances, as well as performances at the best venues in Simferopol and Yalta. The Festival will focus on the development, improvement and promotion of student and youth theater movement and creativity in the Republic of Crimea, the identification of bright groups and the creation of conditions for the realization of their creative potential, the expansion of creative partnerships and exchange of experience.
The founder and organizer of the Festival is the Ministry of culture of the Republic of Crimea with the support of the Association of educational institutions of art and culture and the Federal center of support of tour activity.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, 2019 year is declared the Year of theatre in Russia. These events have high national importance and are aimed at preserving and promoting the best national theatrical traditions and achievements, ensuring the availability of the best examples of theatrical art for residents of different cities, improving the organization of theatrical business and attracting attention to the issues of theatrical education.
The Organizing Committee for the all-Russian program of the Year of theatre in Russia was headed by Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets.
The Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov becomes the Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Year of theatre in Crimea. A large-scale program of events, including more than 2 thousand bright and talented festivals and competitions, exhibitions, presentations, art projects, master classes of leading figures of theatrical art is planned during the Year of theater in the Republic.
