The Republic of Crimea and the Chechen Republic will develop tourism together

On the sidelines of the Russian Investment Forum the Republic of Crimea and the Chechen Republic signed an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of resorts and tourism.

The Minister of resorts and tourism of the Republic of Crimea Vadim Volchenko and Minister of tourism of the Chechen Republic Muslim Baytaziev agreed to cooperate in the tourism sector, suggesting the development of bilateral relations and creation of favorable conditions for sustainable development of tourism in the territories of the republics.

The agreement is aimed at the mutual development of inbound tourism as one of the factors for deeper engagement with the subjects of the Russian Federation, the joint development of legislative initiatives for the development of tourism, the creation and opening of new tourist routes, the development of various types of tourism, the exchange of experience and qualified personnel, joint exhibition events, research, seminars and workshops on various tourism issues.

«For five years after the reunification of Crimea with Russia, we have gained enough experience to share it with colleagues. Our regions are linked by friendly and business relationships, and the development of such a strategically important direction of the republics as tourism will be another link in the chain of major joint projects of the Crimea and Chechnya» - Vadim Volchenko said.

Earlier within the frame of the Crimean delegation participation in the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi, the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov signed an agreement on cooperation in the implementation of the Interregional project «The Golden Ring of the Bosporan Kingdom».
