The Federation Council reported on the economic growth of the Russian Crimea

The Crimea will achieve the average Russian economic indicators by 2022. This was stated by member of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security, Senator of the Republic of Crimea Olga Kovitidi.

According to the Senator, the own budget revenues of the Peninsula have increased in 2,5 – 3 times for 5 years as part of Russia, the industrial production has increased in 2,5 times. "Today the stock of orders for the enterprises of the military-industrial complex is about 22 billion rubles," the Senator noted.

In addition, the volume of investments to the Republic has increased for 11 months in 2018. It has increased by 68.5% and amounted to 133 billion rubles. According to the Senator, even in the conditions of unprecedented sanctions pressure to the Republic the investments in Crimea have been attracted quite strongly, that was confirmed by the successful carrying out of the Yalta International Economic Forum in the region.

Serious changes were recorded not only in the economy. "The overall mortality rate has decreased by 7.5%, infant mortality rate has decreased by 40%", — Ms. Kovitidi noted.

The tourist flow has been growing, agriculture has been developing rapidly. For five years the acreage planted have increased by 120 thousand hectares and now amounted about 750 thousand hectares, the vineyard area has increased by 2,5 thousand hectares, fruit-berry cultures area – by 2,6 thousand hectares," — the member of the Federation Council noted.

According to the Senator, nowadays the integration process of the Peninsula into the Russian legal system has almost completed — all the necessary package of legal acts has been accepted.
