The Government of the Republic of Crimea concluded an investment agreement with the Gorkunov Group on implementation of the investment project “Creation of a Hub for Protected-Ground Vegetables Production and Processing in the Republic of Crimea” with an estimated investment sum of 14 billion rubles. Sergey Aksyonov, Head of the Republic of Crimea, and Savilya Dorogova, Deputy Director General for Investments of OOO TK Belogorsky, signed the agreement on 20 April within the framework of the III Yalta International Economic Forum.
The Gorkunov Group, founded by a Moscow businessman Boris Gorkunov, intends to build a modern greenhouse facility in Belogorsk district of the Republic of Crimea. This high-tech facility, where pollution-free vegetables will grow on hydroponics with a drip irrigation system, will become a unique complex both for Crimea and the entire Southern Federal District.
The designed capacity of the greenhouse facility will be up to 15 thousand tons of tomatoes per year. The project envisages creation of 400 jobs for residents of the Belogorsk district: 200 in 2018 and the same number in 2019. The average monthly salary of its employees will be about 32 thousand rubles. Tax deductions during the initial eight years of the investment project are planned to reach the amount of not less than 746 million rubles.
The investment agreement provides for social burden of 32 million rubles for the investor – this sum will be spent on improvement of Belogorsk and design of the local power substation reconstruction.
