YIEF Foundation

The Yalta International Economic Forum (YIEF) Foundation was established in August 2015 by the decision of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Crimea with the assistance of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea and carries out its activities with the support of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation. Taking into account the successful experience of YAMEF 2015 and with the purpose of utilizing the accumulated knowledge and experience, ensuring the coordination of program activities, interacting with stakeholders and partners and preserving the high quality standard of the event, it was decided to establish the YAMEF Foundation and hold the Forum on an annual basis.

The Foundation Meeting was held with the participation of All Russia Public Organization “Delovaya Rossiya” represented by its Co-Chairman Andrei Nazarov, Business and Cultural Center of the Republic of Crimea State Autonomous Organization represented by Yaroslav Ivanchenko and Proxy Center company represented by its Director General Sergei Lazutkin.

The main objectives set forth by the YAMEF Foundation include creating a manageable model for continuous systematic interaction between business entities and government agencies in the most relevant areas of integration of the Republic of Crimea into the economy of the Russian Federation, elaborating priority directions for the development of the region and ensuring the exploitation of best practices and technologies for successful implementation of investment projects in the territory of the Republic of Crimea. Thus, the main mission of the Foundation is the promotion of full-scale integration of the Republic of Crimea into the Russian Federation and strengthening and further development of investment and innovation potential of the Republic of Crimea.

In its activities the YAMEF Foundation also intends to actively support the implementation of state programs of the Republic of Crimea. Of particular significance is the realization of a large-scale federal targeted program for social and economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the federal city of Sevastopol. The development of a patronage system for the provision of support to the regions of the Republic of Crimea by constituent entities of the Russian Federation also plays an important role. Such patronage involves the provision of consulting, legal and material assistance. In particular, Moscow acts as a patron for the city of Sevastopol. This allows both cities to develop joint programs in such important fields as medicine, education, transport and municipal infrastructure. Furthermore, the very fact of establishing the patronage over Sevastopol by the capital of the Russian Federation should give greater certainty to potential investors. The main goal of the YAMEF Foundation consists in holding regular roundtable discussions bringing together the representatives of patronized regions and supervised areas with the purpose of establishing a sustained dialogue and strengthening mutual cooperation between them.

The YAMEF Foundation carries out its activities in close cooperation with the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea and administrative authorities of the city of Sevastopol.
